Earth's Gold May Come From Collisions of Dead Stars

All of the gold on Earth might have come from the collisions of dead stars, new research suggests. Scientists have discovered that the crashing together of two tiny but superdense neutron stars could be a cosmic catalyst for producing the valuable metal.
