Spider Twerking Protects Males from Hungry Females | Video

When female spiders sense a disturbance in their webs, they respond by attacking (clip 1). To prevent becoming a meal, courting male black widow and hobo spiders 'twerk' their abdomens, drumming and tapping the web to show their good intentions.
