Gray whale travels 14,000 miles, sets migration record

Brooks HaysCORVALLIS, Ore., April 15 (UPI) -- The record for longest mammal migration now belongs to a gray whale named Varvara. The 9-year-old female swam 13,987 miles from Russia to Mexico and back.
