Young female chimps use sticks for 'play-mothering'

Scientists studying the mammals in Uganda find distinct gender differences, with more than twice the number of females cradling sticks like babies than males. Young female chimps carry sticks as a form of "play-mothering," much in the same way girls cradle their dolls, scientists said Monday.
